Court Mounting Medals (Canada-wide)

William Scully Ltd. has been mounting orders, decorations, and medals continuously since 1877. Our expertise ensures that you receive the highest possible workmanship on your set of medals.

Court Mounting Medals (D.N.D. and R.C.M.P. regulation medal mounting): Court mounted medals are sewn to a reconstituted leather backing board wrapped in ribbon and backed with satin. This medal mounting style holds the medals in place, silently and protected, and has them ready to wear. Brooch-pins with locking fastener are available, however we recommend push-pins with quality locking fasteners as they are easier to affix, and not as damaging to the jacket.

Swing Mounting Medals (WWII and earlier): Medals are sewn to a brooch or pin bar and allowed to swing freely. This is the most common method used for historic medals, however this is not the current regulation.

Bow Mounting (Ladies): Medal or order is mounted on a ribbon bow with tails.

Undress Ribbon Bars: Ribbons are sewn or mounted on brass slide-system with long pins for tunic or short pins for shirt.

Medal Mounting Ribbon: Full-size and miniature ribbon are available by the inch or roll for all Canadian, NATO, UN, Royal Canadian Legion, Cadet, RCMP medals. We also stock all WWI and WWII Canadian ribbons in all sizes.

Miniature Medals: We maintain an extensive stock of all miniature medals, miniature devices and ribbon for all Canadian campaigns.

We mount Canadian Forces medals, Royal Canadian Legion and Ladies Auxiliary medals, Cadet medals, Korean War medals, Association medals, Police, Fire, and EMS Long Service medals, RCMP medals, Commissionaire medals, Provincial and National orders.

Your medals are court or swing-mounted on brooch or push-pins using the finest regulation ribbon. Upon request, medals can be cleaned, polished and lacquered, or plated. Our medal mounting service is accessed via our showroom or by registered mail. When sending us your medals by mail, please use a method that provides you with a tracking number (Xpresspost™ or by Courrier). We will return them to you in the same manner.
